This should be a fun and happy place to get to know other. We have some rules to protect the forum from getting out of hand, but we hope that we won't need to actually enforce these--most players get along and are intelligent enough to know what's okay to post and what's not. Nevertheless, here they are:
THE RULES:
Don't be an idiot.
This is basically the all encompassing rule. Don't do things you know are "wrong." We have the right to ban anyone if we feel it's necessary. We really don't want to have to do that, and we only would if someone does something serious. This should be a fun forum for people of all ages, please remember that. We will try our best to keep it that way, but you have to try as well.
Spamming and blatant advertising is not allowed.
This should be fairly obvious. If you sign up for the forum just to post links to a site or just to advertise something, that's spamming. If you post the same thing in multiple forums, that's spamming. There may be exceptions to this,
If you're an active member of the forum and want to tell people about your site, that's fine. If you want to post something like a "free ipods" link, do it in the useless forum. There's even a thread for stuff like that.
No flaming people or stores.
If you have a problem with a person, please PM or email them. The forum is not the place to start a big argument. If you have a problem with a certain store, please contact them through email or other means. However, if you feel like you've been scammed by someone (through trade, ebay, etc.) and they're not responding to you, you're welcome to post about it, as a warning to other people.
No posting obscene things.
Everything posted here must be "PG-13" or below. This is a child-friendly forum. There are a lot of young people who like skill toys, and we'd like to encourage them. If you link to something with "bad" music in it, for instance, make sure to put a note by the link saying so. Your post could look like this:
Listen to the Mods.
The Moderators control the forum and work to keep it safe and help people out. They must obey all these rules, and they're here to make sure you do, too. If you feel something they have done is out of line, please PM Admin about it. Remember that there is a "reputation" system on the forum. If a mod helps you out, please reward them with positive reputation.
Images
We recommend that you attach images to the posts, that way there's a thumbnail and the image will always work. Certain forums allow inline images using the [img] tag. Update! We now have an image resizer plugin, so you don't have to worry about the dimensions. However, it doesn't change the filesize, so please don't post images that will take forever to load (under 150k is preferred). Only use the [img] tag if you're posting one or two pics. If you have a whole gallery of pics, just link them, or link to a webpage containing them. We want to be nice to people with slower connections.
These rules may change at any time, and more may be added if necessary. All decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. If you're not sure whether it's okay to post something, ask a mod, or just don't do it.
